Privacy policy

K.Works Analytics ("I", "me") is a one-person web analytics consultancy based in Japan. This policy explains how I handle personal information you share with me through this website or in the course of a project.

1. Information I collect

  • What you enter in the contact form: company name, name, email address, phone number, topic, website URL and your message
  • The IP address and time of each form submission (used to prevent spam)
  • Information about how you use this site, collected with cookies and similar technologies (see section 6)
  • Data you give me access to during a project (for example, view access to GA4, GTM or ad accounts, reports and documents)

2. How I use it

  • To reply to your inquiry and send quotes or contract details
  • To deliver the analysis, audit or support you asked for
  • To prevent spam and misuse
  • To improve this website (web analytics)

Data you share for a project is used only for that project. If we sign a non-disclosure agreement, I follow its terms.

3. Legal bases

Where laws such as the EU or UK GDPR apply, I process personal information on these bases: to take steps at your request before entering into a contract and to perform it (inquiries and projects), my legitimate interest in running and securing this website (spam prevention and analytics), and your consent where it is required.

4. Sharing

I do not sell your personal information, and I do not share it with third parties without your consent, except where required by law. I use a hosting provider and email services to run this site and communicate with you; they store information only to provide those services.

5. International transfers

I am based in Japan, and information you send me is processed and stored in Japan. Some services, such as Google Analytics, may process data in other countries, including the United States. By contacting me from outside Japan, you understand that your information will be handled in Japan.

6. Cookies and analytics

This site uses Google Analytics 4 and Google Tag Manager, provided by Google LLC. They use cookies to collect information about visits in a form that does not directly identify you. Google handles this information under its own privacy policy.

You can disable cookies in your browser settings, or install the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on. To learn more, see how Google uses information from sites or apps that use its services.

7. Retention and security

I keep personal information only as long as it is needed for the purposes above, or as required by law, and delete it when it is no longer needed. I take reasonable measures to protect it from unauthorized access, loss or leaks.

8. Your rights

You can ask me to access, correct, delete or stop using your personal information, or object to how it is used. After confirming your identity, I will respond without undue delay. Please send your request through the contact form. If you are in the EU or UK, you also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.

9. Changes to this policy

I may update this policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this page.
